Minuteman Press Franchise in Turnersville, NJ Supports Local Businesses During COVID-19 with PPE, Social Distancing Printing Products and Free Marketing Website Bounce Back Turnersville

Minuteman Press International

Erik Schwartz has owned Minuteman Press in Turnersville for 12 years. As a local business owner himself, Erik knows how important it is for the community to rally together and support local business while staying safe during COVID-19. Erik’s Minuteman Press franchise located at 4991 Route 42, Suite 4 is doing its part by providing vital personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks and facial coverings (for non-medical use), social distancing printing products such as COVID-19 safety posters, floor graphics and sneeze guards, and even free marketing through their community website Bounce Back Turnersville . Erik says, “The number one thing we have been doing throughout the pandemic is that we are printing and distributing COVID-19 safety posters and signs for free. We believe that our community comes first and it’s important for everyone to remain safe.” In addition to the free posters, Erik and his team at Minuteman Press Turnersville have given away face masks and hand sanitizer to help their clients and community members. They also have launched a free website Bounce Back Turnersville where any local business can submit their text and logo. Minuteman Press will then create a local ad and post it for free on the website. “We’ve had a very favorable response to all of our efforts to help others during this critical time including the Bounce Back website. We have special offers on the website from businesses ranging from restaurants, roofing, and solar energy to auto repair and healthcare.” For Minuteman Press, Erik and his team’s efforts to put community first have paid off. “We had a good month in June and it’s great to see more local businesses reopening. As they reopen, we make sure they know we are here to help them in any way we can.” During COVID-19, the most popular items printed and produced by Minuteman Press Turnersville right now are masks and facial coverings, social distancing products , sneeze guards, and direct mail advertising campaigns. “Our most popular and comfortable masks are 100% cotton, two-ply fabric. By far, the most popular color is black and then we use our heat press to customize them with company logos and designs. I wear them and my staff wears them with our Minuteman Press logo printed on them. When people see us, they tend to ask about them and this leads to orders.” Because print is an essential business , Minuteman Press has been able to remain open. Therefore, Erik is able to share his own experiences and advice for other businesses who are now reopening themselves. “My advice and the biggest thing I’ve learned is to create an advertising budget and concentrate on advertising to your core markets. Do some printing, advertise on the Internet, and put together a healthy mix of cross-media marketing to reach people. Many clients have come to us for direct mail and Every Door Direct Mail to reach customers right now, and it’s working.” “It is wonderful to see all of the great things Erik is doing to help his business community bounce back from COVID-19,” says Richard Hornberger, Minuteman Press International Regional Vice President, Philadelphia Region. Rich adds, “Local businesses like Erik’s Minuteman Press franchise in Turnersville are the lifeblood of local economies and I am proud of the work he’s been doing in helping his clients and community as businesses continue to reopen.” Supporting other local businesses is also important to Erik. “I shop local and utilize the services of my clients as much as I possibly can. It’s also gratifying for me when two of my clients talk and network and discover the need for each other’s products and services. Recently, I had a plumber and a realtor together outside my center. The realtor needed the plumber, and the plumber provided an estimate and got the job.” Erik concludes, “For local businesses and the community, supporting each other is huge and it means a lot to see so many people here in Turnersville come together to pitch in and help out during this time.” For more information on Minuteman Press in Turnersville, NJ, call 856-232-7700 or visit https://www.minutemanprints.com . Published National Findings in Lyme Disease Testing to Be Discussed on July 30 Webinar Hosted by Quidel Corporation

Quidel Corporation

Elizabeth Lee-Lewandrowski, Ph.D., MPH, a national key opinion leader on tick-borne diseases, will discuss the findings of a national seven-year study on Lyme disease testing on a webinar she will be conducting on Thursday, July 30. The webinar is part of an ongoing series hosted by Quidel, the California-based diagnostic healthcare manufacturer known for successfully developing rapid diagnostic health solutions. Over the past year, Dr. Lee-Lewandrowski has published two large epidemiological studies documenting changing trends in tick-borne diseases as well as a third paper documenting national trends in non-Lyme disease tick-borne infections. Data from one of these papers was presented to the Health and Human Services Tick-Borne Disease Working Group to assist the group in providing policy guidance to the U.S. government. On the webinar Dr. Lee-Lewandrowski will share the published results of a “national reference laboratory” study on blood-testing for Lyme disease, which she conducted along with her collaborators ( https://academic.oup.com/ajcp/article/152/1/91/5461358 ). Among the findings were that: Lyme disease occurs in all age groups and in all regions of the country; males and females are roughly equally at risk; Lyme disease is seasonal, but a significant number of cases are diagnosed in the winter months; and the demographics of Lyme disease is changing with greater rates of infection in traditionally low-risk states. The study also revealed that Lyme disease is about 10 times more frequent than reported cases to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Lee-Lewandrowski is a member of the faculty of the department of pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where she also serves as a clinical laboratory scientist in chemistry. She is also assistant professor of pathology at Harvard Medical School. A member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, Dr. Lee-Lewandrowski received her Ph.D. in chemistry from Brown University and her master’s in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She brings to her July 30 presentation a deep interest in the clinical applications of point-of-care testing technologies that improve outcomes and the efficiency of clinical operations. Among those expected to attend the webinar are physicians, other allied health professionals, scientists and healthcare researchers interested in hearing the latest regarding the prevalence of Lyme disease and results of testing. Bring your mission-critical programming in-house for less than the cost of outsourcing AND maintain control of your IP

Default company name

Moore’s law states integrated circuits double in both speed and number of circuits roughly every two years. As programmable devices become smaller, denser, and more complex, most machines that program those devices have become more expensive, and require experienced technicians to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot. The downside to outsourcing programming is legion: added cost, minimum orders, long lead time, and reprogramming or scrap when data files change. Another danger is protecting your intellectual property. Once your source code leaves the vault in your factory, it is vulnerable to theft. Due to current market conditions, companies are increasingly concerned about interruptions in the supply chain, especially for components sourced from Asia. Until recently, it wasn’t feasible for most Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) with significant programmed device requirements to justify the cost of bringing programming in-house. Automated Programming Systems (APS) were expensive and complex to set-up, run, and maintain. That’s when BPM changed the game. A short history lesson BPM Microsystems started making EPROM programmers in the mid-80s. BPM’s Founder Bill White was a student at Rice University, working on his degree in Electrical Engineering. He needed a way to get his code on a read-only chip, and discovered there just wasn’t a good way to do it. So, he built his own programmer. While he was still living in the dorm, he started selling his programmer, the EP-1, by mail order, and BPM Microsystems was born. BPM has a history of simple-to-operate, reliable systems that deliver the industry’s best results. BPM launched its first automated programmer in the mid-90s: the BPM 4100 was the only universal fine-pitch automated pick-and-place programming system. Compared to today’s machines, it was slower and more difficult to set up (and operated in DOS). Compared to the single-purpose machines of that day, the 4100 revolutionized device programming by combining universal programming technology with universal fine-pitch handling capability. Holy Grail of Device Programming The “holy grail” of consistent automated programming results is the Z-axis teach. There are three axes on an automated handler: X, Y, and Z. X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) are easy; a downward camera with a bomb site allows for precise placement on the center of a device. The Z (up/down) is, by far, the most difficult and the most important. Both the pick and place locations, if off by less than the width of a human hair, can cause major problems. Manually-adjusted z-teach can go badly two ways: pick (or place) too high can cause misalignment of the device; place (or pick) too low, where the nozzle comes in contact with the device, can cause micro-cracks. Devices with micro-cracks usually pass the initial test (green light), but can oxidize the sensitive metal film causing devices to fail in the field. BPM is the first to solve the Z-axis conundrum with a patent-pending solution called WhisperTeach. It utilizes hardware and software to turn the device nozzle into a sensor. Without coming in contact with the device, the automated system detects the height of the device to within 15 microns (4 times finer than a human hair) and automatically completes the “teach” in less than 8 seconds. A trained technician, although not as accurate as WhisperTeach, can teach a single location in about a minute. On a single job set-up, the difference in time is dramatic: WhisperTeach set-up is usually around 5 minutes; manual teach can take up to 45 minutes to an hour. When you add the loss of productivity to the reduction in precision, things can quickly get dicey. Regardless of which programmer, pick-and-place systems are incredibly repeatable: if the teach is off by a little, the pick/place will be consistently off as well. WhisperTeach is available on all BPM automated systems, not just on its high-end systems. Bringing it Home Since about 2010, the strongest market segment for Automated Programmers has been Automotive suppliers. Automotive suppliers have an ever-increasing need for programming as cars become more complex and technology-driven. They also often require 3D inspection and laser marking to ensure consistent quality and to track inventory. Big projects, with millions of programmed devices, make device programming in-house a no-brainer. Smaller OEMs, while perhaps having many of the same needs as the Automotive guys, were constrained by limited resources. As their programming needs outgrew their ability to produce on manual systems, the only option was to outsource to the programming houses or ship their component manufacturing off-shore. Then came the perfect storm of 2019: a crippling trade war, followed by a growing pandemic. OEMs recognize the risk in outsourcing critical components, such as programmed devices, to off-shore suppliers. They are looking more closely at options that reduce their reliance on forces beyond their control in a way that reduces costs and speeds go-to-market. BPM has a history of innovation; they also have a reputation as the “luxury brand” in device programming– feature-rich, and pricy, especially when compared to low-cost Asian machines. That changed with the launch of the 3901, the lowest cost full-featured automated system with vision centering and true universal support. The 3901 starts at under $90,000 with a maximum configuration of 16 device sockets. Within 10 days of the 3901 launch in October of 2019, the first machine sold to a telecommunications OEM in the Northeast US. The second soon sold to a Midwest heavy equipment manufacturer. Both companies needed an affordable system that can supply their catalog of programmed devices to their lines. The 3901 quickly became the fastest-selling automated system in BPM’s 35-year history. Equipment manufacturers, especially those in North America and Europe/Middle East, finally have a lower-cost option for their device programming needs without sacrificing quality and capability. With the launch of the seven-site 3928 in November 2019, companies have access to automotive-level quality (available 3D inspection) with up to 28 sockets in a fully-loaded system that starts at just under $110,000. Hot buttons for OEMs Faster time to market– go from prototype to production in weeks, not months. Expand vertical manufacturing capability React to design changes quickly– tweaks in code can be updated to the workflow in just a few minutes Intellectual Property physically protected from theft Don’t have to shut down the line due to supply chain issues with programmed devices Device programming is easier than ever before; Installed and operational in less than one week Manual programmers can provide 10s of thousands of devices per year; when demand exceeds manual capacity, it’s easy to migrate to an automated system (same sockets, software, no need to redo first article, etc.) One high-speed universal platform can support millions of devices per year, at an incredibly low cost per device As demand increases, it’s easy to add additional sites for more capacity. If additional capacity is needed, add additional shifts without needing highly skilled technicians Lower cost solutions (3901, 3928) provide the greatest value in the industry. ROI in months, not years. Conclusion You can’t control world events– what you can do is provide your manufacturing team with an uninterrupted supply of high-quality, low cost programmed devices. Baking Spirits Bright During Christmas in July Covid Style: Bringing Merriment and Real-Life Journey to Others with Diabetes

Drop the Puck

Viewers will fall in love with the No Sugar Baker, with her real-life story and energetic warm personality. Her story hasn’t been told but nationally over 34 million are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in our nation alone. What is different? In six months, she’s turned her life around. Last August, on her 44th birthday, Jayne Jones got super sick and landed herself in the emergency room with stunning vital signs. After numerous tests, the ER physician diagnosed her as a severe diabetic who was minutes away from having a stroke. This was an eye-shocking surprise for Jayne, a lawyer by trade and health policy wonk. The next hours were crucial---no one told her that she’d lose her sight! Jayne lost her vision/eyesight for 15 days. She went on prescribed medications, but never insulin. Her attitude was lifesaving. Jayne went to work and wore out her tennis shoes. She changed her diet and eliminated all sugar, fruit, flour and snacking. Fast forward to April, per the advice of her college daughter, Jayne started a whim of an idea during the COVID stay-at-home, a recipe blog featuring her daily story, struggle and journey. That journey: In less than five months, Jayne lost 60 pounds, was medicine free and her eyesight is now 20/20. All accomplished by pure lifestyle change. Since April, her blog has over 22,000 followers, over 30,000 views of her fun warming Saturday morning garage sale shopping show and every day, Jayne gets messages about how she has impacted others’ lives. Starting Friday July 17, for 12 days, The No Sugar Baker is during its first major announcement---Baking Spirits Bright A Celebration of Christmas In July---during such a difficult time. Besides tasty Christmas treats, the family is even sending out Christmas cards too. The recipes, No Sugar Baker’s Bacon Crusted Pizza, No Sugar Baker’s Blueberry Pie Ice Cream and No Sugar Baker’s Cinnamon Rolls. Jayne would love to talk with your audience, viewers and readers. She can cook live from their kitchen, tell her story in a fast-engaging way and their kitchen will be “decked” in holiday spirit. A winning story in a difficult time. After law school, Jayne worked in state and federal government public policy roles. Jayne has founded a government grant firm, a nonprofit chaperone travel service for individuals with intellectual disabilities and learning differences and authored six national and world award-winning books. Jayne loves braised current events, is bubbly strong willed, and her least favorite charred word is “no.” Jayne is a proud non-coffee drinking Lutheran, who drenches the church with her voice singing all hymns. A self-taught decadent cook, baker and party thrower, Jayne’s main love is entertaining and knocking everyone’s aprons off with her creativity, devotion to dollar saving tips and delightful savory tastes. Though far from “a-typical,” a typical weekend would find Jayne roaming enticing garage sales, trying a new gratifying recipe on her glorified taste testing team, and rooting for her friends in the National Hockey League. Jayne got deathly ill and sick in the fall of 2019. Her love of the kitchen, party throwing and zest for life got crumbled up in one bite. But, not out of sight. She had a sour after-taste but that bitterness won’t last long or become over baked. The timer was up for perishable days. After six months of blood, sweat and tears, Jayne rolled up her sleeves, put back on an apron and went to work as the No Sugar Baker. Jayne is married to Chris Beehler, (AKA The Hubs), and has a college-aged daughter Emily (AKA Em).
